Big menu, lots of options, food was great. Service was friendly and atmosphere was warm. Heading back there now!
I absolutely ADORE Yamato hibachi. I have gone 3 times this month!!! The chefs put on a wonderful show, the food is huge portions and delicious and every waitress is amazing!!! Have so much fun every time i go and the food never disappoints. All this restaurant could use is some background music to make the vibes more fun, hearing their happy birthday robot go off every few minutes isn't the background music I wanna hear. also, I tried to tip my waitress $25 because her service was so amazing and before excepting the tip she had to have her manager come over to prove that I was tipping her which I really didn't like and I wish didn't happen, but I will return to this restaurant and keep tipping the waitress the same amount of money- SHE DESERVES IT! The manager is a little misogynistic in my opinion!!
Food was amazing and nicely plated and presented. The Service was pleasant and very attentive and prompt! We all enjoyed the atmosphere and location and will come back again soon!
Pretty good sushi for an all you can eat place. Decor is a little dated, but the focus on the food is pretty much there. The hand rolls are good Get the chicken katsu is great Desserts are limited but good!
My wife wanted to come here for her bday and glad we did. This place is great! Kids enjoyed the hibachi show and everyone who works there are really nice. More importantly, the food was delicious. No complaints here. Overall: A
I'll be honest, I was initially a little bit hesitant to come here because there are restaurants in the area with better reviews but the stars aligned during our one night stay in Norwood and we decided to take a gamble and put the fate of our dinner in Yamato's hands. I'm an attention whore so I don't need the theatrics of hibachi threatening the monopoly I hold over my GF's attention at dinner so we elected to sit in the regular dining room. I can tell this place is a well oiled machine and it certainly makes for a seamless dining experience. More than one person checked on us to ensure we had been given the opportunity to place our orders and we didn't have to wait for essentially anything. I was very impressed by their legit vegetarian sushi section but went with my regulars: sweet potato and cucumber avocado. Both were very tasty. GF ordered the yellowtail. Her reiview, "it was good, tasted nice and fresh." We also ordered the tofu hibachi and their spicy noodles. The tofu hibachi was DELICIOUS. The flavor was mouthwatering and it came out piping hot. The spicy noodles were also enjoyable and I appreciated the vegetarian options. For our drink, we ordered the scorpion bowl something, one of those large servings that you share with other people (or in our case, one other person) but they served it in like a big bowl with an island they literally set on fire. It's pretty cool. Extra long straws and all. I'm glad we checked out this spot, it provided a nice meal.
